Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Molecular Plant and Microbe interaction, Chonbuk National University, South Korea Please mention www.bunchbay.co.nz when applying for this position Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on molecular plant microbe interaction. The project will involve analysis of virulence factors of plant bacterial pathogens, analysis of resistance-related genes in plants, induction of tolerance The starting date of the appointment is negotiable between February and May 2011. The initial appointment will be for one year and can be renewed based on research achievements. Monthly stipends range from 2,100,000 won (US $2,000) to 2,500,000 won (US $2,400), depending on the qualification. The salary can be positively adjusted depending on forthcoming research contributions. Successful foreign applicants will also get some support for housing deposit. The applicants will hold a PhD degree in Plant Pathology or related discipline. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloning and expression of proteins, gene targeting, western blotting, protein interaction, pathogeniciy analysis.
